BENTON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

The Benton City Council is currently accepting applications and resumes from citizens interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission.  There are two positions open for appointments beginning in January of 2027. Two commissioners will be appointed to fill five-year positions.  The terms expire December 31, 2031.  The Commission has responsibility to make recommendations regarding planning items including rezoning, conditional uses, variances, plats and site plan review to the Benton City Council.  There is a City of Benton residency requirement.  Deadline for submitting application and resume is 5:00 pm Monday, November 23, 2026.  The Commissioner Application can be found on www.bentonar.gov.  Applications and resumes need to be submitted to the City Clerk (via mail to P.
