NOTICE OF COMMISSION VACANCIES
BENTON HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
The Benton City Council is currently accepting applications and resumes from citizens interested in serving on the Historic District Commission. There are two positions open
for appointment in October. Two commissioners will be appointed to fill three-year positions. The terms expire October 1, 2029. The Commission has management responsibility regarding certificate of appropriateness within the Commercial Historic District reviews. There is a City of Benton residency requirement. Deadline for submitting application and resume is 5:00 pm Monday, August 31, 2026.
The Commissioner Application can be found on www.bentonar.gov. Applications and resumes need to be submitted
to the City Clerk (via mail to P. O. Box 607, Benton, AR 72018 or in person to 410 River Street,
Benton, AR 72015 or email to cityclerk@bentonar.gov).
