BENTON ADVERTISING & PROMOTION COMMISSIONER
The Benton City Council is currently accepting applications and resumes from citizens interested in serving on the A&P Commission. There is one position. One commissioner will be appointed to fill a four-year position for someone working in a hospitality/restaurant position. The term expires October 10, 2030. The Commission has management responsibility regarding the use of funds collected in the City’s Advertising & Promotion fund. Pursuant to Ordinance 1 of 2023, commissioners must receive a minimum of four hours of training and additional education consistent with the mission of the commission and shall receive compensation of $150 per month, provided they attended the prior month’s commission meeting. Expenses incurred in regard to A&P business could be reimbursed. There is a City of Benton residency requirement.
Deadline for submitting application and resume is 5:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2026.
